Easy breakfast in bed ideas for kids to spoil their moms on Mother’s Day

Breakfast in bed is a great way to pamper your mom on Mother’s Day, and many kids plan to do it on Sunday.

If your child is struggling to find ideas for simple and easy things to do for their mom, here are some suggestions. They will be able to cook something nice in the kitchen, without having to do intensive cooking.

Some of these things may require supervision, depending on your children’s ages and abilities. So if they’re too young to use frying pans, knives, or blenders, maybe skip those options or get someone older to help. You can of course mix and match the items on this list and present it all together on a platter.

Easy Breakfast in Bed Ideas for Mother’s Day

Granola, fruit and yogurt

Kids could have fun making it. Put different layers of granola, yogurt and fruit in a wine glass or tumbler, so you can see all the colorful ingredients, and maybe add a splash of honey.

Avocado on toast

It is easy to do. Cut an avocado in half, remove the pit, remove the fleshy piece and mash it all up. You can add lemon juice if you wish. Then spread it on a slice of toasted bread. You can season it with salt and pepper.

Fruits and nuts in small bowls

Get small bowls and fill them with different types of fruits and nuts. Maybe berries in one, kiwi in another, and any other fruit your mom likes. Almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios and raisins are some of the other options.

Cheese and crackers

A nice selection of cheeses with crackers might do the trick. French Brie, Cheddar, Red Leicester, Wensleydale, Blue Stilton or whatever strikes your fancy. Don’t forget to take chutney.

Bagels/toasts with your favorite spread

A simple addition to a breakfast tray. Choose your mom’s favorite spread – cream cheese, chocolate spread, peanut butter, jam. Younger children may like to decorate bagels or toast with pieces of fruit.

Some croissants

Get some good croissants from the bakery and serve them with a good cup of tea. Maybe also a Danish pastry, a cinnamon swirl or a pain au chocolat.

Croissants can be added to your breakfast in bed

rice cakes

These could be added as an extra. All you have to do is put something on the rice cakes, like cheese spread or fruit.

Crepes

Adult supervision will be needed here to make the pancakes. But ask the little ones to help as much as they can.

Smoothies

Maybe one for older kids or with adult help as mixers are needed. Combine milk, fruit of your choice (berries, bananas, mango, apple are common choices) and yogurt, and serve.
