For the holiday season, except December 24, 25 and 31, 2021, The Chow Kit Kitchen offers a delicious seasonal spread. Emphasizing local produce and flavors, your gastronomic journey begins with a tangy grilled shrimp salad of freshly grilled shrimp and caramelized pineapple on a bed of selom salad with a tangy calamansi and balsamic vinegar vinaigrette. Kelulut honey, followed by a hot and hearty oxtail soup or seasonal pea soup with seared scallops topped with ikura.

For the main courses, there is a choice of sous vide short ribs or oven-baked Senangin in salt. Australian short ribs are vacuum-packed for 12 hours with a silky five-spice glaze, served with roasted potatoes, Brussels sprouts and baby carrots. The Senangin fillet cooked in the kitchen salt is served on a bed of buttered fenugreek rice with aromatic roasted vegetables. End gently with a rich and creamy chocolate pie with caramelized homemade strawberry jam, sprinkled with sea salt flakes.

The seasonal December menu is priced at RM144 Monday through Thursday and RM 180 Friday through Sunday.

ATAS Modern Malaysian Restaurant

Held in Penang from December 3-4, 2021 and in Kuala Lumpur from December 8 to 12, 2021, the Kita Food Festival will witness a gastronomic convergence of the best Malaysian chefs in a celebration of the country’s culinary culture. Expect cross-pollination and ephemeral residence from guest chefs and residents throughout the period. To whet the appetite, Kim Hock Su will team up with Tyson Gee at Au Jardin, and Nadodi will team up with Jungle Bird, among others.
